1. The Concept
OFMOS® Academic sits at the simulation end of the tabletop spectrum. It operates at 18 products across nine environments and shares the portfolio evolution mechanics of OFMOS® Professional. Its design emphasis is explicitly academic, with two capabilities as its focus.
Probabilistic thinking recognizes that strategic intent does not produce deterministic outcomes — but that the probability of success increases as organizational expertise accumulates. Portfolio-level judgment requires evaluating each product-market pair not only for its isolated return potential but for its contribution to the portfolio as a whole.
These are the capabilities that separate strategic fluency from strategic sophistication, and they are the explicit subject of OFMOS® Academic's design.
Like all titles in the family, OFMOS® Academic can be played as a pure strategy game or as a business simulation. Both modes are complete experiences.
