99 Sets, Each One Unique, Each One Signed
The 99 Prototypes Edition is a limited handcrafted run of OFMOS® Essential — 99 individually numbered and signed sets, each produced through a process of cutting and stamping that makes every set visually distinct. The game is identical to the main edition of OFMOS® Essential in rules, mechanics, and strategic depth. What differs is the object itself — a prototype artifact from the early history of a game built on more than two decades of original research.
2. What It Is
The Same Game, A Different Object
Every rule, every game mechanic, every play experience in the 99 Prototypes Edition is identical to the main edition of OFMOS® Essential. The board is the same 81-position strategy map. The CEO actions are the same. The strategic depth is the same. What this edition offers is not a different game — it is a different relationship to the game. Released in October 2024.
3. The Craft
Cut, Stamped, Numbered, and Signed
Each of the 99 sets was produced by hand — tiles cut and box stamped individually, making every set unique. Each copy includes exactly 136 unique stamp applications and up to 248 freshly-cut edges, all executed by designer Cristian Mitreanu. Each set carries a unique 1 through 99 number and his signature. No two sets are identical. Once all 99 sets are distributed, this edition will not be reproduced.
4. Why It Exists
A Bridge to the Main Edition
The 99 Prototypes Edition was created as a way to make OFMOS® Essential available to early adopters, educators, players, and collectors before the main edition is launched. A crowdfunding campaign for the main edition will be announced soon. The 99 Prototypes Edition is the opportunity to own and play the game before that moment arrives.

Four sets of nine hand-stamped product pieces, each in a distinct color. Nine hand-cut environment tiles that assemble into the 81-position strategy map. One rulebook covering rules, concepts, applications, and player modifications. Score-keeping chips for 2-player sessions. Each set individually numbered (1 through 99) and signed by designer Cristian Mitreanu. Sessions run 20 to 60 minutes. Players 2 to 4. Age 14 and above.
