OFMOS® Flow — Prototype

A digital, continuous-time strategy experience — the same strategic logic, an entirely different kind of intensity

1. The Concept

OFMOS® Flow is the only digital title in the OFMOS® family and a categorically different kind of experience. Where the tabletop games are turn-based, social, and paced by player deliberation, OFMOS® Flow is continuous-time — decisions unfold and consequences accumulate in real time, with no pause between turns. Time itself is the constraint that the tabletop games do not impose.

The core strategic logic remains the same: portfolio management, competitive positioning, commoditization and innovation dynamics, synergy formation. But the continuous-time format transforms the experience. In the tabletop games, a player can study the board, weigh options, and deliberate before acting. In Flow, the system does not wait. Products commoditize whether the player acts or not. Competitive moves happen in real time. The window for innovation opens and closes. Strategic judgment must operate under continuous time pressure — which is closer to how strategic decisions actually feel in the real world.

OFMOS® Flow is designed primarily as a solo experience. A single player manages their portfolio against the system's dynamics — or against other players in real time. The digital format opens possibilities that the tabletop medium does not support: real-time dashboards, performance analytics, portfolio trajectory tracking, and feedback loops that make the consequences of strategic decisions visible as they compound.

2. What Makes It Different from the Tabletop Games

The tabletop games develop strategic judgment through deliberation — the player has time to think, and the social setting creates shared cognitive intensity. Flow develops strategic judgment through pressure — the player must think and act simultaneously, and the intensity comes from the system's relentless forward motion.

Both develop the same foundational capabilities: portfolio thinking, competitive awareness, lifecycle management, the ability to reason about commoditization and innovation. The difference is in how those capabilities are exercised. The tabletop games build the ability to reason well. Flow builds the ability to reason well under time pressure — the kind of pressure that characterizes real strategic environments where markets do not wait for the strategist to finish deliberating.

3. Who It's For

For players who want the strategic depth of the tabletop experience in a format they can engage with individually and on their own schedule. For professionals who want a personal strategic training tool that compounds with repeated use — product managers, executives, students, and anyone building strategic judgment outside a classroom or workshop. For educators and L&D professionals who want a digital experiential tool deployable at the individual level or across a full group simultaneously, with real-time dashboards and analytics.

For players who grew up on strategy games — from Civilization and SimCity to modern tycoon simulators — OFMOS® Flow offers something familiar in format but fundamentally different in substance. The decisions are real strategic decisions, not optimizations within a fixed formula. The dynamics that emerge — commoditization, portfolio pressure, competitive disruption — are not scripted events but consequences of the player's own choices interacting with a system built on the same theoretical logic that governs real competitive environments.

4. Current Status
